Man's best friend.

Last week I came to a conclusion. My house is too lonely. I haven't lived by myself in close to thirty years. With no wife and kids grown up living away, it makes for some long quiet days.

I've had several dogs in the past and thought it'd be a good time for another. Yesterday, I adopted Luke. He's a young Staffordshire Bull Terrier with lots of potential. I think he's as gentle, smart and respectful as any dog I've ever owned.

We are off to a good start and I'm looking forward to many years of companionship.

  1. Hi Dennis, First; I am sorry to hear of your loss. My father passed 5 years ago and I lost my best buddy while surfing in the spring of '80. In between I have developed ways to deal with the process in positive ways. Books, movies, hobbies. Both of these guys make their presence known, some times in vivid dreams, most other times when am by myself. It's like my buddy told me in a dream when I told him he was no longer alive...he smiled at me and said "Yeah, but just enjoy this time we have togeterh" So that's when I turned the corner from the self destructive phase.
Your craftsmanship is beautiful. YOur choice of four legged companion is impeccable. I raised Pit BTs for years and if they are treated well they are as fitting members of society as any dog. Look me up on FB if you'd like. Best regards and keep up your excellent work. Chris Bacot

  3. Love the puppy. I have two dogs, two cats (and a third outdoor cat who has adopted me cuz I feed him and my wife put a kitty bed out there for him), and a turtle who likes to go missing for long periods of time and then just turn up. They are family to me.
