prepped for glass

I've been sanding and shaping.  The bottom has a central tunnel and the top has it's spoon.  I'm happy with the way the boards turning out.  The leash plug is in.  I will do a little more sanding and then laminate.

Rough shaping ms

I've been working on the rough spots.  The board feels great.  I started the bottom contours.  I still have a lot of sanding to do.

Shaping the mini

I started rough shaping.  Today, I just wanted to blend the top and shape the rails.  I haven't started on the bottom yet.  The board feels nice and light.

Deck almost done

I just have a few pieces to add.  I'm happy about how the nose turned out.  It makes sense to spoon and keep it thin.  When I felt the board today it seemed a tad heavy.  It should lose some weight when I shape it. The leash and vent blocking are done.

Redoing the ribs.

After seeing several mini's with spooned out noses, I thought, that's a good idea.  I tore out the old ribs and put in some new ones.  I also added a rib in the tail section.

I've been adding bracing and blocking to the nose and tail sections.  Next time, I'll add a few more ribs.
